We wrapped up the final day of the NAESP Conference with a closing keynote from Dr. Miguel Cardona. Before the keynote, we celebrated each state's Elementary Assistant Principal of the Year, and we were proud to cheer on Kansas's own Sarah Thomas from Ross Elementary in Dodge City USD 443!

This morning, we recognized Heath Henderson (Skelly Elementary, USD 490) as the 2026 KS Elementary Principal of the Year, and this afternoon, we honored Rick Sola (Chisholm Trail Middle School, USD 233) as the 2026 KS Middle School Principal of the Year.
